His dwindling affection
Our broken connection
The outright rejection
Hit me hard
Left me distracted
Flummoxed
Isn’t this what I wanted all along?
To forget he ever existed
To wipe out
Every trace of his presence
To start afresh
Then, why can I feel myself disintegrate?
If he wants the same
Wasn’t it me who
So haughtily dismissed
His proposal of staying friends
I should’ve known
Two can play at this game
Of playing hard to get
Well, there’s no need to fret
The damage has been done
He wouldn’t come knocking at my door
He wouldn’t look twice my way
I should’ve known
You can only replay
The scene in your head
‘Cause once spoken
The words can’t be unsaid

If this is what I think it’s about, then don’t regret it. I know it’s easier said than done, but at times you have to look ahead in life and move on. You can’t dwell at what’s been lost. Just be glad that you enjoyed some great times. I know it can be a pretty sucky feeling cause I’ve gone through the same but you just need to focus on the things around and there ARE plenty. Music helps too. At the end of day, live for yourself and treat yourself right. You deserve to live each day as it is and enjoy it. Happy Diwali :)
Hi Nikerson ! Don’t you worry, I’ve completely got over the incident and I DON’T regret the decision. Not even a bit. “Insolent Loser” explains it all. ;) Thank you for being so supportive. :)
Sanah – love this! You seem to find the perfect expressions for what you want to say.
Your poem, as usual, is fantastic. I love the way you express your life every day. I am sure that is healthy, though painful.
You are a very beautiful person, Sanah. Your blog is testament to the beauty of your soul. I truly wish you the best. N.
Thank you so so much. Your encouraging words are just what I needed to start my day ! I’m really happy I met you, Ma’am !
Love games are such a pain in the ass:)
They definitely are. I’m done fighting back.
