Paranoia
Anxiety
A million shattered dreams
All was lost
Or so it seemed
Fought hard to avoid extremes.
Lost control
Abandoned hopes
Growing depth of despair
Felt so helpless,
Felt so bare.
Stone cold eyes
Burned a hole
Deep into his diminishing soul
Crimson blood
Poured out
Turned him into a living ghoul.
Ages ago
A mere mortal
A harmless being
Transformed,
Now a savaging beast
A barbarian
His monstrous streak forever unleashed.
He ached to tear you up into pieces
Chew and spit
And feast on your raw flesh
In a hollow cave, beautifully moonlit.
He’d then watch you cry out in pain
And slowly sing
a gut wrenching lullaby
look you in the eye
and show you how much it hurt
when you murdered his only last hope
with no effort.
And when you’re reborn
If you remember the hell he put you through
For your unforgiving deeds
Hopefully you’ll turn into a better person
Live a blissful life and succeed!

I like that you put a happy twist at the end! I thought the character was going to die, so I was glad to see there was a redemption instead. NIce :)
Initially I was going to do that only but then I realized everything didn’t have to end on a sad note. :)
Nice changes. Love the quote. The sad thing is –
Things are loved because they can be used. People
can not be so easily used, thus, are they “Useless?”
If a life is priceless then is it also worthless? To many
that which can not be bought and sold has no value.
Sometimes when I tell people that the Armidillo is
my favorite animal. They shake their head and say,
“It has no purpose.” Can it be true of people as well?
People are hard to love as they are hard to control
and cause trouble. When you love a living thing it
my turn on you, an object may not.
Or perhaps, it is not in the lack of love, but
our lack of our ability to properly express it, that has
caused so many problems, love, when not expressed
in any way, can it really mean anything? It all brings
meaning to the phrase – Bottled up sentiments. You’ve
given me a lot to think about.
I sometimes think my poems are contradictory.
My mood changes as I go from one stanza to another.
And as far as I know, there’s nothing such as “Unconditional Love”.
Every person needs to be loved no matter what.
No one can stand being taken for granted.
